Uriah Aaron Sloan, 17, of Louisville departed this life on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Visitation 11-12 Saturday, March 29, 2025 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 12 noon.

Uriah Aaron Sloan was born September 10, 2007, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Marguerite Arnold and Anthony Sloan, Sr. He was blessed to be raised by his grandparents, Maria Arnold and John McGruder, Sr.

He, like so many other students, received his education from the Jefferson County Public Schools System. This current school year, he was a proud senior at Breckinridge Metro High School Class of 2025. In his spare time, Uriah enjoyed playing video games by himself or with anyone who would join him. The competition was exciting, but most of all, it was the time spent with his family that he cherished the most.

Besides loving his family and entertaining himself, family, and friends with all of the popular and not so popular video games, he also had a great, big love for food. There was one particular type of food that he really loved and looked forward to eating whenever possible. That food was seafood. Uriah didn’t play about his food; it was definitely a serious matter. Another favorite of his was his love for wearing hoodies. It did not matter the season; winter, spring, summer, or fall, Uriah wore his hoodies. Most of all, even more than the hoodies, Uriah Aaron Sloan loved the ladies in all seasons!

Sadly, on March 22, 2025, Uriah Aaron Sloan departed this life. He leaves behind to cherish their many memories of him: siblings, Tonisha Greer, Mikiyah Parrish, Jabbaria Sloan, Anthony Sloan, Cedric Binford, Kevin Greer, Kamarrie, AJ Sloan, Jabbar, Camber Thomas, and Jaiden Sloan; a niece, Malaysia Courtney, and nephew, Elijah Sexton; and a host of family and friends
