Visitation 10-1 Monday, August 14, 2023, at Bates Memorial Baptist Church 620 Lampton Street. Funeral to follow at 1pm.

Tony "Triple T" Towns was born on March 10, 1956 to the union of Margaret Williams and William "Skip" Towns Jr. He was a hardworking man and strived for greatness in everything he did. He always wanted his success to show through his talents. Most of his life journey consisted of food, sports and masonry in that exact order. He had genuine heart of giving and would give you his last penny if you asked with no expectations in return. One thing he made sure that everyone knew was that he was a professional in all of those categories.

Tony loved to cook but he also enjoyed eating just as much maybe even more. He spent almost every holiday on the grill smoking any and every kind of thing that looked like meat. His welcoming spirit is the excuse he used for his over cooking. He would always say "I know y'all gonna have friends over. I want you to be able to eat as much as you want." His level of competition he made known very well. No one could cook ribs and sweet potatoes better than him and you couldn't convince him otherwise.

He had many bragging rights and his favorite of all was being a former Houston Oilers football player. He kept his Oilers team photo handy so he could sign his autograph and pass them out. Although he loved to vibe to his B.B. King Blues and oldies. His passion and peace was his masonry work. His imagination and innovative mind allowed him to produce amazing and unique one of a kind artwork. He made sure he produced each project to be distinctive but yet identifiable as his creation.

Tony was a man of many words. Each word was given to encourage, motivate, and express his love. He always told everyone he loved them followed by a warm hug. He was big on parting gifts with every visit. The best gift of all would always be the love he shared as he said goodbye.
