Rev. Page Leon Patterson, born July 18, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the union of the late Jesse Lee and Pauline Gazaway Patterson,

Rev. Patterson was united in marriage to Little Mollie Lee, with whom he shared the blessing of five children: Deborah Ann (who preceded him in death), Patrick, Phillip (who preceded him in death), Paul Lamont, and Peter Lavelle. Later, he married the Benella Mayfield, with whom he shared over 30 years of love and companionship.
A proud graduate of Central High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Rev. Patterson pursued theological studies at Simmons Bible College. His professional career reflected his industrious spirit, as he established a successful TV repair business in the 1970s. Over the years, he also worked for Banner Trucking Inc., Givens Food Services, JCPS After School Program, and the pharmacy field.

Above all, Rev. Patterson’s greatest passion was serving the Lord. A devoted man of faith, he confessed and accepted Christ as his Savior on March 18, 1956, at Fifth Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Later, he moved his membership to the Historic Lampton Baptist Church under the late Rev. Charles H. Owens, where he began his preaching ministry. His mentor and spiritual guide, the late Rev. James E. Miller, profoundly influenced his pastoral journey. Rev. Patterson faithfully served as the pastor of Sonora Baptist Church in Sonora, Kentucky, and Consolidated Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky.

Rev. Patterson will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to preaching, teaching, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His energetic spirit, hard work, and dedication to family and ministry touched countless lives.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons: Patrick, Paul Lamont, and Peter Lavelle ("T"); his sister, Bonita (M. Allen); his beloved aunt, Norma J. King; his niece, Desiree’ Watts of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
