Margaret Ann Penick, 73, formerly from Campbellsville, Kentucky transitioned to her Heavenly home on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky.
Visitation 11-1pm Thursday, June 8, 2023, at St. Stephen Church 1018 S. 15th Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Funeral to follow at 1pm. Burial 12:30pm Friday, June 9, 2023 at Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon Kentucky.
MARGARET ANN PENICK (A/K/A “MOOCHIE”) was born on April 22, 1950 in Campbellsville, KY to the proud parents of Earl and Grace Scott. She was the third oldest of six children. She received her education in Campbellsville, Ky school system and later pursued higher education in Louisville, KY
Margaret was married to James David Penick on April 21, 1979. They were high school sweethearts. They shared 44 years together as friends and husband and wife. During their union, she gave birth to her only SON, Andre Penick. He is her pride and joy. She loved him dearly and spent time with him every day.
MOOCHIE as she was called by family and friends enjoyed gardening, remodeling, cooking and Jazz music. She was a fan of Frankie Beverly and Maze. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also liked watching old movies and the remodeling show on TV. Margaret was soft spoken until you pushed that button LOL. She loved her family, her church family and friends.
MARGARET was employed in the healthcare field for 30 years, working as an Administrative Assistant for St Anthony Hospital, Kindred Hospital, Baptist and Norton healthcare. She was loved by her co-workers and supervisors as she was a dedicated employee who hardly missed any days, and she also had a passion for the work she did.
On Sunday, June 4, 2023 she gained her wings to go home and be with the Lord. When she arrives, she will be greeted by her mom, dad, sister and 2 brothers who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, James David Penick, a son Andre Penick, a sister, Nancy Anderson, a brother, Jimmy Scott, nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends, cousins and other family members.
