JaQuay Dajshon Rodgers, 19, of Louisville died Friday, April 28, 2017. On Wednesday, March 25, 1998, Louisville, Kentucky welcomed its newest resident into the world. Proud parents Sherisa Rodgers and Eric Walker introduced JaQuay Dajshon Rodgers to all his relatives and friends. It was a most joyous occasion. From the very beginning, JaQuay had a smile that would lite up any room. JaQuay began his Christian journey at a young age and gave his life to Christ at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He attended Spirit Filled New Life Church Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Steven M. Kelsey. In his youth, JaQuay thought he would be a Rapper someday. He would turn his homework assignments into rap songs. Whether it was learning his ABC’s or memorizing timetables, JaQuay could put a beat to it and make it memorable. He could also sing! Once JaQuay was introduced to sports, Football became his favorite sport. All throughout his school days at Maupin Elementary School, Meyzeek Middle School and Ballard High School, JaQuay was known for his athletic abilities. When he wasn’t playing Quarterback , he was constantly watching ESPN and all the sports shows. JaQuay was outgoing and fun loving. He enjoyed being around his family and met no strangers. He had a warm heart and was always polite and respectful.. JaQuay loved to eat, especially fried chicken . When he wasn’t patronizing KFC, Lee’s Chicken, or numerous other restaurants that sold chicken, JaQuay knew his away around the kitchen and was becoming a great cook. On Friday, April 28, 2017 JaQuay Dajshon Rodgers departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Sherisa Rodgers (Johnnie Davis), Eric Walker , Michael Hall; grandparents Mary Grimes, Pat Walker, Pamelal Hall, Kenny Smith (Linda), sisters Shanice Judkins, Nakiya Hall, one niece and four nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
