Deborah Ann Founder Harper - 68, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, while surrounded by family.

Visitation 10-11 Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 2040 Buechel Bank Rd. Funeral to follow at 11. Burial Calvary Cemetery.

Deborah Ann Founder Harper was born April 5, 1953 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and Delena Founder.

Deborah attended St. Bartholomew Elementary School and was a graduate of Seneca High School. She received an Associate Degree from Jefferson Community College in the Dental Assistant Program. Deborah was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew Church. On April 10, 1982, she was united in matrimony to Lee Jose Harper. They shared 39 wonderful years of marriage raising two sons, Brian Founder and Cameron Harper, together.

She was employed by the University of Louisville Dental School as a dental assistant for more than 20 years. She was well respected for her dentistry knowledge and skills. Later, Deborah left the Dental School to work in transportation at Jefferson County Public Schools. She relished driving her school bus of special needs children. The students and their parents all loved her. Earlier in her career, Deborah was a member of the National Guard where she would travel to different cities to assist with dental care. During retirement, she volunteered at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Throughout her life, Deborah was known for her radiant smile, friendly demeanor and always being considerate of others. After a conversation with her, people walked away feeling better about themselves. Her motherly, sisterly advice an encouragement will always be missed. Deborah was devoted to her family, their home and loved tending to her garden of roses. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Lee. She also loved the camp outings, a memorable cruise and some pleasurable girl trips with her sisters and family.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jackson and Delena Founder, her sister, Pamela DeSanctis and brother, Lloyd Anthony Founder.

On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, Deborah Ann Founder Harper went home to be with the Lord. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Lee Harper, sons, Brian Founder (Antonia) and Cameron Harper; step-children Barry Harper, Bryan Harper, Leandra Harper; granddaughter Athena Founder; brothers Michael Founder (Lynda), Howard Founder (Deborrah); sisters, Anita Founder Winstead (Keith), Vickie Dillon (Fred) plus a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
