Cynthia Ann Titus Rice, 71, of Louisville transitioned on Monday October 14, 2024 at her home.

Visitation 3-5 Sunday, October 27, 2024 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral will follow at 5pm

Cynthia Ann Titus Rice, nicknamed Ann, was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 10, 1952, to proud parents, Norma Jean Titus and William Titus, Sr. She was one of nine children. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Forest Baptist Church.

Cynthia was a student at the Jefferson County Public Schools System with her final years of education being at Thomas Jefferson High School. She married Henry Rice, who is deceased, and they were blessed to become the proud parents of four children.

Cynthia loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her siblings. For her personal entertainment, she found time to listen to her favorite music which was rhythm and blues. She was an excellent cook who put her heart into whatever she prepared. Besides the work she did in her home, Cynthia worked for Vivid Imagination here in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a retired daycare provider.

Preceding her in death were Juanita Bishop-Payne, Theodore Titus, and Michelle Titus. On Monday, October 14, 2024, Cynthia was called to take her rest. She leaves to cherish their memories of her: children, Erika Rice, Shawnna Rice, Leon Rice, Kiayanna Rice; stepchildren, Tonia Rice, Michael Burns LaDonna Burns; siblings, Geraldine Bald (Greg), William Titus, Jr., Ronald Titus, James Titus, Michael Titus; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
